My Philosophy
I came to this work not just as a trained doula, but as a mother with varying birth experiences. A mother of five, who has known the joy of a baby placed in her arms and the grief of pregnancies that ended too soon. I know firsthand that birth is not always the experience we pictured.
I show up intentional in my support and attentive to your needs. I believe in honoring your birth plan while being able to pivot, because labor isn't predictable and every delivery is unique. What you need most in moments of change isn't someone who sticks to a script, but someone who adapts without losing their footing.
Whether your birth unfolds exactly as you hoped or takes a turn you didn't see coming, I will be steady, present, and fully in your corner. You deserve support that doesn't waver, no matter what the room looks like.

Sage Holsten
Full-spectrum Doula

I have dedicated my time to understanding evidence-based practices for an optimal outcome. I am continuously learning and ensuring my support adjusts with guidance changes or my own thoughtful research. I want to meet my clients where they are and empower them to trust their bodies and instincts. How you feel about your labor and delivery has a huge impact on your recovery.
I am drawn to helping high-risk individuals navigate pregnancy, childbirth, and the early days with an emphasis on perinatal mental health from a non-clinical perspective.
